Icy Roadway Causes Rose Township Crash

ROSE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say an icy patch on the roadway caused a crash on Route 322 in Rose Township.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 8:31 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, a 2017 Infiniti QX80 was traveling eastbound on State Route 322 just west of Hickox Lane, going approximately 15-25 mph. The vehicle hit an icy patch on the roadway and began to spin; it slid off the northern side of the road, traveling approximately 10 yards and impacting the rear of the vehicle, causing minor damage. It came to final rest off the northern side of the roadway facing southbound.

The driver of the vehicle was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.

Brookville Fire Department, Jefferson County EMS, and Balley Towing assisted at the scene.

The name of the driver of the vehicle was not released.
