Ida Catherine Doverspike Wolfgang, 90, died on September 27, 2014 at St. Mary’s Nursing Center in Leonardtown, MD.
Born May 31, 1924 in Mt. Tabor, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russell Doverspike and Martha Smith Doverspike.
On May 24, 1947, Ida married Jay R. Wolfgang. They were married for 58 years until his death in 2005. She lived in Carmichaels, PA from 1950 and moved to Ringgold, PA in 1978. She lived in Ringgold until 2011 when she became a resident of St. Mary’s Nursing Center. She was an avid reader and loved baking. She was a loving wife and mother and was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church.
Ida is survived by her daughter, Debra Bargar and her husband, Eric of Mechanicsville, MD; family friend, Jill Morris of Hollywood, MD; three brothers and their families, Jim and Ruby Doverspike, Carl and Kay Doverspike, and Gary and Connie Doverspike, all of Ringgold; her sister-in-laws, Rebecca Beall, Jeannette Kluciar; and brother-in-laws, William Wolfgang and Donald Wolfgang.
All services will be private.
