Inda C. “Christine” Stonbraker

Inda C. “Christine” Stonbraker, 75, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, June 25, 2015, at UPMC Passavant in McCandless.

She was born May 30, 1940, in Punxsutwaney, the daughter of the late Inda Amelia (West) and Bernard Clarence Feller.

She was Lutheran by faith.

She worked as a secretary for PennDot and then worked as a Mental Health Counselor for many years.

She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree and then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Psychology.

Inda was very artistic, she loved to paint and make ceramics. She loved cooking and baking for family dinners during the holidays and for family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for the residents at the towers. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson Dylan.

Every year she would donate a Christmas themed ceramic figure to Make-A-Wish.

She lived her life to the fullest and was always concerned about the well being of others, despite her own health issues.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Cheryl Stonbraker-Carroll and husband John Carroll of Punxsutawney and Inda Elise “Lisa” Bedell and husband Gary L. Bedell of Punxsutawney; a grandson Dylan C. Blose of Pittsburgh; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Gary L. Bedell, Jr., and her maternal grandparents Grover and Pearl West.

Friends will be received from 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2015, at the funeral home with Reverend Brett Swanson officiating.

Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Stonbraker, to the American Lung Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
