Police: Intoxicated Man Spits on Cop, Alarms Hospital Staff – Jailed on Assault & Terroristic Threats

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Around 4:30 p.m. on June 11, Brookville Borough Police were called to investigate an intoxicated male harassing people at Buff’s Ice Cream and driving recklessly on Race Street and Mabon Street.

Police say upon arrival, 26-year-old Christopher M. Mignogna, of DuBois, took off running from his vehicle toward the Redbank Creek.

According to police, Mignogna was caught and taken to the Brookville Hospital where he spit on a police officer and caused the hospital staff to become alarmed by his belligerent actions.

He was charged with DUI; Simple Assault; Terroristic Threats; Disorderly Conduct; Harassment; Possession of Controlled Substance; Reckless Driving; and Careless Driving.

He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail and placed on a $25,000.00 bail by Judge Greg Bazalak.
