Investigation Continues into Stabbing Death of Big Run Native

Big Run HARRISBURG, Pa. (EYT) – Harrisburg Police are continuing their investigation into the stabbing death of a former Big Run native.

According to police, former Big Run native Richard McQuown, currently of New Cumberland, was the victim of a stabbing death that occurred near Riverfront Park, at the intersection of Front and Market Streets in Harrisburg.

McQuown, who was found by a jogger around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center where he later died.

Since McQuown did not have any identification, keys, or cell phone on him, police believe he may have been a robbery victim.

Prior to McQuown’s death, he was allegedly drinking with friends at the Federal Taphouse on Second Street in Harrisburg. He was last seen around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, October 31.
