Investigation of Car Crash Leads to Marijuana Possession Arrest in Huston Township

handcuffsHUSTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a vehicle crash led to a drug arrest in Huston Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, around 2:05 a.m. on November 4, the DuBois State Police investigated a deer versus car crash.

The operator drove the car approximately one mile from the scene of the crash to the Penfield Mini Mart located on Bennetts Valley Highway, police say.

Upon further investigation, a strong odor of marijuana was emanating from within the vehicle, according to police.

A search of the vehicle was conducted, and a small amount of marijuana was found.

Charges will be filed at District Court 46-3-01.

The suspect is a known, 22-year-old man, of Buffalo, New York.

The name of the suspect was not released.
