Investigation Underway After Hunter Shot in Clarion County

PORTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Sources say a hunter was shot Tuesday morning in Porter Township, Clarion County.

The incident happened around 8:45 a.m. when a male hunter was shot in the leg near the intersection of Blair Road and Pyne Road.

The victim was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.

New Bethlehem Fire, Southern Clarion County EMS, Pennsylvania Game Commission, and Clarion-based State Police responded to the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
