Irene P. Robbins, 91, DuBois, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Born December 12, 1929, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Elva (Bundy) Bochert.
On October 5, 1979, she married James H. Robbins in Champagne, Illinois. He survives.
Irene retired from Christ the King Manor as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church. Irene enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and walking at the mall.
In addition to her husband, Irene is survived by a son, Robert Shaffer, Rockton; a sister, Mary Hand, Hawaii; two step-sons, Tim Robbins, Las Vegas, and James Robbins, DuBois; a step-daughter, Stacey Marshall, Luthersburg, ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Shaffer, two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Evelyn) Biehl and Betty Harris, and two brothers, Thomas and Fred Bochert.
Friends and family will be received Friday, April 9, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. from the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. with Pastor Charles Lee officiating. Due to the current regulations, face coverings must be worn and social distancing will be practice. Visitors are asked to keep their visit brief to allow others to pay their respects. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
