LEXINGTON, Ky. (D9Sports) – Johnsonburg’s Michael Shuey of Penn State took first in the javelin at the NCAA Division I East Preliminaries at the University of Kentucky qualifying for the national meet with a throw of 242-feet, 5-inches (73.89 meters).

Joining Shuey at the national meet will be his Penn State teammate and fellow District 9 alum, Ryan Keer, who finished 10th with a throw of 214-7 (65.42 meters).
