Jack W. Keth

Jack W. Keth, 84, of Jefferson Court, formerly of Summerville, PA, died Tuesday February 24.

Born March 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Fred Simpson Keth and Leora Gould Keth.

Jack graduated from Summerville High School.

Jack W Keth100He was an veteran serving with the US ARMY as a paratrooper in the Korean war.

Jack was awarded the Silver Star along with numerous other citations and awards.

He was employed by Hanley Brick working on the sorting table until his retirement.

He was of the Presbyterian faith. Jack was a member of the Summerville VFW.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Jack is survived by two daughters, Kelly and Karen, both of DuBois; a brother Richard D. Keth of Strattanville; a sister Marlene Shick of Brookville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Jack is preceded in death by a son, Kevin; three brothers, Robert, Theodore, an infant Simpson Jr.; and a sister Shirley Keth.

His family will receive friends on Friday February 27, 2015, from 6 – 8 p.m. and Saturday February 28 from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville.

The funeral service will follow at 11 am with military honors.

Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Clover Twp., Jefferson County, PA.
