James A. Stralka, 66, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014.
He was pre-deceased by his father, William Vincent Stralka and survived by his mother, Dorothy Stralka of Pennsylvania; his wife Susan W. Stralka of Germantown, TN; two sons, James A. Stralka, II (Leanne) and Justin W. Stralka (Aly), both of Seattle, WA.; two sisters, Patricia Ann Shaw (Bill) of Holly Springs, Ms, and Janice Elaine Bryan of Oil City, Pa; and 3 grandchildren William James Stralka, age 6; Owen Porter Stralka, age 4, and Zoe Lynn Jones, age 5.
Mr. Stralka was graduated from Memphis State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Science degree in Engineering. He was past president of the Memphis State University Engineering Alumni Chapter, former officer of the Memphis Chapter of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers, certified by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and a member of the American Society for Training and Development. He attended the Church of The Nativity in Bartlett, TN and lived in the Memphis area for the past 50 years.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:30 am, with services to follow at 11:30 am, Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the Church of The Nativity, 5955 St. Elmo in Bartlett, TN. Interment will be in Memorial Park in Memphis.
