James F. Cramer

James F. Cramer, 86, of DuBois, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015, at Christ The King Manor in DuBois.

He was born June 6, 1928, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late James F. Cramer Sr. and Grace Chambers Cramer.

On Dec. 28, 1950, James married the late Hazel D. Egan Cramer.

She preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 2010.

James served as a U.S. Army sergeant during the Korean War.

He was a 1947 graduate of Punxsutawney High School.

He retired from the Bell Telephone Company after 42 years of service.

James was a member of the Reynoldsville Presbyterian Church, DuBois American Legion, Punxsutawney Moose Club and a life member of the St. Joe’s Polish Club Adrian and Bell Telephone Pioneers Club.

He is survived by three sons, James F. Cramer of Punxsutawney, Larry E. Cramer of Sigel and Terry L. Cramer of Sigel; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Cramer; and a brother, Robert Cramer.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2015, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven J. Hendrickson officiating.

Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
