James “Jim” Lee Snyder, 77, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, while a patient at Penn Highlands Brookville.
Jim was born on November 1, 1944, to the late Eli Nathan and Helen Louise (Miller) Snyder in Franklin, PA.
Jim graduated from Brookville Area High School with the Class of 1962.
After graduation, Jim served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964 and was in the Army Reserves from 1964 to 1967.
He married Nancy Jane Moore on May 27, 1967, in Ridgeway, PA; Nancy survives him.
Jim owned and operated Snyder’s Garage for 37 years.
He also enjoyed showing dogs at dog shows.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by one son; James Andrew Snyder; two brothers-in-law; Robert (Sharon) Moore and William (Linda) Moore; and his beloved dog; Cubby.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in passing by one brother; E. “Denny” Snyder.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 1 – 5pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.
Full military honors will be rendered at the end of the viewing, beginning at 5pm, and performed by the Brookville Area Honor Guard.
