James L. Reichard

James L. Reichard, 75, of Mayport, died Tuesday evening, August 15, 2017, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, after a period of declining health.

Born on November 23, 1941, in Oak Grove, Clarion County, he was the son of the late Wilmer “Gike” and Stella (Shick) Reichard, Sr.

He married Fay M. (Brinker) on August 26, 1961 and she preceded him in death on April 27, 2007.

Jim worked as a carpet installer for RMS Furniture and later as a maintenance supervisor for Broadwood Towers in New Bethlehem until his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, and crafting stained glass.

He is survived by three children, Lisa Boozer and her husband, Barry of New Bethlehem, Larry Reichard and his wife Jen and Alan Reichard and his wife Beth of Mayport, eleven grandchildren, Christopher Boozer and his wife Megan, Matthew Boozer, Larry Reichard, Tyler Reichard, Luke Reichard, Joshua Reichard, Isiah Reichard, Caleb Reichard, Grace Reichard, Karissa Reichard, and Hunter Reichard, one great granddaughter, Sadie Fay Boozer, one brother, Clair C. Reichard of Mayport, and one sister-in-law, Nancy Reichard of Indiana, Pa.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer Reichard, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Loretta Reichard.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

The funeral service will be on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Phillips officiating.

Interment will be in the Hawthorn Cemetery, Clarion County.
