Jean Brosius

F. Jean Brosius, 79, of Summerville, died early Thursday morning, August 31, 2017, at her residence.

Born on June 16, 1938, in Summerville, she was the daughter of Nathan E. and Freda C. (Lanker) Wolfgong. She married W. Ronald Brosius on July 26, 1958, they were married for 59 years.

Mrs. Brosius worked in retail for 20 years, including a gift shop, and she also worked at the ARC, for which she was very proud of. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, W. Ronald Brosius, of Summerville, a daughter, Linda Baker and her husband, Mel, of Durham, North Carolina, two grandchildren, Jennifer Brosius and Curtis Brosius, both of Waterloo, New York, and a great granddaughter, Ciara Crumpler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Ronald Brosius, and a brother Elmer Wolfgong.

Friends will be received Sunday, September 3, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

Additional viewing will be held on Monday, September 4, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., at the church, with Pastor Robert Goodnough officiating.

Interment will be held in the Cliff Cemetery, Beaver Township, Jefferson County.
