Jefferson County Commissioners Okay Three CDBG Projects

big-run-war-memorialBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The Jefferson County Commissioners recently approved the Community Development Block Grant Program application for three projects for the 2016 fiscal year.

In Reynoldsville, 600 linear feet of deteriorated water line will be replaced along Jackson Street between Fourth and Fifth streets.

The total estimated cost is $152,000 with $46,982 from local funds and $105,018 from CDBG money.

In Big Run, a project at the War Memorial building will make the rest rooms Americans with Disability Act compliant.

The total estimated cost is $96,000 with $10,000 from local money and $86,000 from CDBG money.

In Punxsutawney, CDBG money will cover the $81,220 cost of the Clark Terrace Street Improvement project.

Work will be done to replace a deteriorated section of retaining wall along Clark Terrace near the intersection of Graffius Ave.
