Jefferson County Woman Busted with Meth, Heroin, Fentanyl Waives Hearing

REYNOLDSVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County woman who was allegedly caught in possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and suspected fentanyl recently waived her preliminary hearing.

Court documents indicate the following charges against 20-year-old Ciera Marie Caltagarone, of Reynoldsville, were waived for court on Thursday, May 16:

The charges have been transferred to the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas.

Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, Caltagarone remains lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, on Monday, May 6, Sargeant Murray, of the Reynoldsville Brough Police Department, was conducting an investigation, with the assistance of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Senior Agent Farabaugh, regarding a stolen firearm after receiving information that Ciera Caltagarone had one in her possession.

During the investigation, a consent search of Caltagarone’s vehicle was given. Inside the vehicle, several items indicative of drug distribution were found, including methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, heroin, several ziplock baggies used for packaging methamphetamine, stamp bags used for packaging heroin, a scale, needles, a glass pipe, a glass tube, and a cell phone, according to the complaint.

Caltagarone reportedly admitted to both using and distributing heroin and methamphetamine, the complaint states.

Caltagarone was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak at 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7.

Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, she was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.
