Jefferson County History Center Temporarily Closed to the Public

The following was submitted by Kat Lyons, Admin Operations of Jefferson County History Center.

Due to the recent spike in Covid19 cases in Jefferson County, the Jefferson County History Center temporarily closed on Friday, December 4th until further notice, to protect our patrons and visitors as well as our staff.

The Dec 14th Bowdish Trains show is cancelled, as is a Bowdish show listed in the Brookville Mirror for December 26th (which was not scheduled by JCHC).

If you would like to order a book from our gift shop, please give us a call at 814-849-0077 or send us an email to kburkett-jchc@windstream.net or klyons-jchc@windstream.net.

Arrangements for donations to our archives can also be made by phone or email. If you have a genealogy research request, please visit our website, jchconline.org, to view our resources and fees and fill out a research request. You can also email klyons-jchc@windstream.net for assistance.

We thank the community for their “Shop Local” support on November 28th and for visiting the Bowdish Train Show. We hope we did not cause anyone any inconvenience by being closed on the Dec 5th “Shop Local Saturday.” Please stay tuned for future announcement of re-opening.

Happy Holidays to All!
