Jefferson County Recipe of the Day: Chicken Pasta Bake

This recipe makes a great one dish meal!

Chicken Pasta Bake

Ingredients

No-stick cooking spray
8 ounces dry penne pasta, uncooked
1 – 26.5 oz. can Hunt’s Traditional Pasta Sauce, divided
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
8 frozen Banquet Chicken Breast Strips

Directions

~Preheat oven to 375°.

~Spray 8×8-inch baking dish with cooking spray; set aside.

~Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt. Drain and return pasta to saucepan.

~Set aside 1/2 cup pasta sauce. Add remaining sauce and one cup cheese to cooked pasta. Stir to combine; place mixture in prepared dish. Arrange frozen chicken strips on pasta mixture. Top with reserved sauce and remaining one cup cheese.

~Bake uncovered 35 to 40 minutes.
