Jefferson County Recipe of the Day: Chili & Chips Snack Mix

This mix will make a delicious snack for your guests during the holidays!

Chili & Chips Snack Mix

Ingredients

1 – 16 oz. pkg. corn chips
1 – 11 1/2 oz. can mixed nuts
1 – 11 oz. pkg. pretzel sticks
1 – 6.6 oz. pkg. miniature cheddar cheese fish-shaped crackers
1 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

~Preheat oven at 350°.

~In a large bowl, combine the corn chips, nuts, pretzels, and crackers.

~In a small saucepan, bring butter, brown sugar, garlic powder, and chili powder to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Pour over snack mixture and toss to coat.

~Transfer to 3 greased 15x10x1″ baking pans. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (or until lightly toasted).

~Cool completely on wire racks and store in airtight containers.
