Chocolate Cream Cheese Cake – For chocolate lovers!

Chocolate Cream Cheese Cake


1 box Betty Crocker devil’s food cake mix
1 regular size box chocolate instant pudding and pie filling mix
3/4 cup hot water
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
4 eggs

1 – 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

1 container chocolate frosting


~Heat oven to 350°.

~Spray bottom only of 13×9″ pan with baking spray with flour.

~In large bowl, beat cake ingredients with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, then on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pan.

~In large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and 1 egg with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Stir in chocolate chips. Spoon filling by tbsp evenly over top of batter. Using table knife, swirl filling through batter. Sprinkle with nuts.

~Bake 47 to 55 minutes.

~Cool completely. Spread frosting over cake. Store covered in refrigerator.
