Jefferson County Recipe of the Day: Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Here’s a dessert that will be a sure hit – Strawberry Pretzel Salad!

Strawberry Pretzel Salad


2 cups pretzels – broken to nut size
3/4 cup melted butter
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 large strawberry Jello
2 cups boiling water
(2) 10 ounce packages frozen strawberries
8 ounces cream cheese
1 medium tub extra creamy Cool Whip


~Mix first 3 ingredients in 9×12″ baking dish. Bake 8 minutes at 400 degrees. Let cool.

~Mix jello and water. Add frozen strawberries. Set until it starts to thicken.

~Add cream cheese and sugar. Fold in cool whip. Spread on pretzels. Spread strawberry mixture on top.

~Top with more cool whip. Chill.
