Jefferson County Teen Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a Jefferson County teenager was arrested late Saturday night on suspicion of DUI.

According to police, around 11:01 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, Punxsutawney-based State Police initiated a traffic stop on a black 2000 Ford Ranger on Reynoldsville Falls Creek Road near Steward Road in Winslow Township after observing multiple lane violations.

Police say while engaging the operator of the vehicle – a known 18-year-old Reynoldsville man – the troopers observed signs of impairment and asked him to step out of the vehicle. Field sobriety tests were then conducted and the operator was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

The investigation is ongoing.

The man’s name was not released.
