Jefferson County to Hold Active Shooter Drill at Courthouse on September 28

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services will be conducting an internal active shooter drill at the Jefferson County Courthouse around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 28.

According to Tracy Zents, DES Director, the exercise will consist of law enforcement activity inside of the courthouse.

“This will occur after normal business hours for the county. We wanted to make sure the public is aware that if they hear any type of activity at the courthouse that it is only an exercise,” Zents said.

There will be no involvement with Fire or EMS, and there will be no street closures.
