JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. – A 19-year-old Jefferson County woman has been arrested for theft, burglary, and other charges that occurred on January 3.
According to a published article in wjactv.com, DuBois State Police arrested 19-year-old Brianna Boboige, of Falls Creek, for allegedly stealing a vehicle and breaking into several buildings, including a church.
According to police, Boboige committed a string of crimes between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on January 3 throughout Falls Creek and Washington Township.
First, she tried to break into a Falls Creek home owned by a 46-year-old man. This attempt was unsuccessful.
Next, she broke into a garage owned by a 62-year-old Falls Creek man and stole a 2006 Chevrolet truck.
Police say Boboige drove the truck to the Smithtown Community Church in Washington Township and got the truck stuck.
She then broke into the church by smashing through a glass front door, damaging several items inside the church before leaving.
Then, she broke into another home down the street from the church, owned by a 56-year-old man.
When she was discovered by the 56-year-old man and his son inside the house, she ran off into woods behind the home.
Then, Boboige broke into a house owned by a 83-year-old woman. Sources say the 83-year-old found Boboige in her bathroom and took her out of the house.
No information was provided on how the police found and arrested Boboige.
Her preliminary arraignment was on January 6.
She was charged with the following offenses:
– 3 counts of Burglary – Overnight Accommodation, Person Present, Felony 1
– 2 counts of Burglary – Not Adapted for Overnight Accommodation, No Person Present, Felony 2
– Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Felony 3
– Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 3
– Criminal Mischief – Damage Property, Misdemeanor 2
– Institutional Vandalism Place Worship, Misdemeanor 2
– 2 counts of Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Misdemeanor 2
– 2 counts of Receiving Stolen Property, Misdemeanor 2
– 2 counts of Criminal Mischief – Damage Property, Summary Charge
Unable to post $60,000.00, she is lodged in the Jefferson County jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on February 20 in front of Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana.
