Jefferson County Woman Ordered to Pay Restitution for Animal Neglect

PORTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County woman recently pleaded guilty to an animal neglect charge.

Court documents indicate Porter Township resident Carol Greenlee pleaded guilty to one summary count of neglect of animals, sustenance/water, on Wednesday, April 10.

According to a citation filed through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline J. Mizerock’s office by Jefferson County Humane Officer Debbie McAndrew and Willow Run Sanctuary & Adoption Inc. on March 12, 2019, Greenlee failed to provide necessary sustenance and water for a male pit/lab mix dog. Greenlee also failed to provide straw in the dog’s house.

Greenlee was ordered to pay fees and restitution totaling $564.01.
