Jeffery Allen LaBelle

Jeffery Allen LaBelle, 65, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at home.

He was born in Spangler, Cambria County on June 29, 1955, a son of the late William James LaBelle and Catherine Ann McConnell.

On July 13, 2019, he married the former Julie Ann Boyer.

Mr. LaBelle formerly worked as a coalminer at Greenwich Collieries in Barnesboro, Cambria County.

He was a member of the United Mine Workers, Fraternal order of the Eagles, Post #1231, The Moose, the Polish Club, Sons of the Legion in Glen Campbell, and Jefferson County ABATE.

Jeff was an avid motorcyclist and lived by the moto “he was going where the front tire goes”. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, and fishing.

He was a kind, loving, and gentle. He loved his wife, his girls, and adored his grandchildren, especially Isabella Phillips, who called him “PePa”. His daughters will always remember him as a good father and keep his memory close to their hearts. Jeff also loved to spend time with his rescue dog, Elle May.

In addition to his wife Julie, he is survived by three daughters, Marcie (Daniel) Wolfe of Punxsutawney, Jessica (Ron) Cielo of Sarasota, Florida, and Michelle (Benjamin) Elliott of Punxsutawney; two step children, Raymond Phillips of Smithfield, Virginia and Mollee Plotner of Punxsutawney; three grandchildren, Jacob Hopkins, Alexander Elliott, and Adelyn Elliott; step granddaughter, Isabella Phillips; two brothers, William (Patricia) LaBelle of Punxsutawney, and Wayne (Kim) LaBelle of Punxsutawney; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a special uncle that taught him a lot in life, Mark McConnell.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
