Joanne E. Weaver, 73, of Falls Creek, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at her home.
Born December 17, 1944, in Desire, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elvin G. and E. Lorraine (Wylie) Weaver.
Joanne graduated from Sykesville High School and went on to study at Indiana University of Pennsylvania to earn her teaching degree. She moved to Washington D.C. to work as a Certified Public Accountant for the Government Accounting Office.
Joanne loved to read and do jigsaw puzzles. She attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Joanne adored her two cats, Lydia and Harry.
She is survived by two siblings, Elaine (Earle) Vicklund, of DuBois, and Dean (Shirley) Weaver, of Urbana, OH, as well as several nieces and nephews to whom she was a special aunt.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William E. Weaver.
Friends and family will be received Monday, February 12, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. A funeral service will follow Monday’s visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Corbin Russell officiating. Interment will be in Desire Cemetery, Desire, PA.
