Joe Lundy, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2014, in Warren, with his family by his side.
He was born on July 15, 1944 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of Earl and Jane Lundy.
Joe graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 1962 and would go on to work at Van Huffel Tube and Vanex Tube.
He retired in 2011.
In his free time, Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, walking his dog, Molly and NASCAR.
Joe was also a member of the Bazetta Cortland Optimist Club and served as Governor and President of the organization.
Memories of Joe will be carried on by his family, his daughter, Laurie; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Maynard) Lahti, Carole (Eileen) London, Pat Lundy and Mary Ann (Byron) Shaffer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Judy, his brother, Jim and his parents.
A memorial service to celebrate Joe’s life will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 27, at the Cortland Christian Church with the Rev. Donald Barnes as pastor.
Friends will be received prior to the service from 10:00 AM to service time at the church.
In honor of Joe’s memory, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Bazetta Cortland Optimist Club, P.O. Box 146 Cortland, OH 44410.
