John E. McIntyre

John E. McIntyre, 95, of Clarion St. Oil City, PA. , died at 5:50 P.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at his home after an extended illness.

Born April 25, 1924, he was the son of the late Hirim & Martha McIntyre.

He was a graduate of Brookville High School.

He served in the United States Army Air Corp. and was a member of the Ruptured Ducks.

John was married Aug. 7, 1948, to the former Helen Jean Goodwill and she preceded him in death on Feb. 24, 2014.

Mr. McIntyre was employed at the Foster Forbes Oil City Glass Plant.

He attended the Oil City First Presbyterian Church.

John enjoyed fishing, watching Pittsburgh Sports and was an avid gardener. He also enjoyed the companionship of his cat Reaper.

He is survived by two daughters Lea Jolley of Oil City and Terry Krawiec of Brandon, FL, a son-in-law Joe Krawiec of Oil City, three grandchildren Michael McIntyre & his fiance Beth of Oil City, David Arlington & his wife Leah of Seneca, Michael-Shannon Prahl of Oil City, 9 Great Grandchildren Ocean & Legend McIntyre, Ashley Zacherl, Ashley, Hudson, Samuel and Anna Moore, Jacob & Tyscen, and by 7 Great Great Grandchildren

He is also survived by two brother’s in law Guy “Spike”Goodwill of Oil City and John “Jake” Goodwill of Delaware, and a special friend Mimi Hagadone of Oil City. Several nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers Dick McIntyre and Bill McIntyre

Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Reinsel Funeral Home with Rev. Ronee Christy, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church Presiding.

Interment with Full Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard in Grove Hill Cemetery.
