John F. Polito, 79, of Shelby, NC passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.
He was born on July 15, 1942 in Punxsutawney, PA to the late Joseph Polito and Virginia (Mennetti) Polito of Walston, PA.
John graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 1960.
He worked for PPG Industries for 33 years at locations in Pennsylvania, Texas, Indiana, Washington and Georgia.
John then worked for Azdel in Shelby, NC for 11 years before retiring.
After retiring, John worked at Lowes Home Improvement in Shelby, NC for 16 years.
John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne (Veselenak) Polito; daughters, Linda Polito and Lisa Pera of Charlotte and grandson, Gian Pera.
He is also survived by his sister, Linda Mankovich and her husband, Tom of KY; three brothers, Joseph Polito and his wife, Grace of PA, Dan Polito and his wife, Gerri of NC and David Polito of PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
