John G. Geppert, Sr.

John G Geppert SrJohn G. Geppert, Sr. passed away at home on Jan. 11, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was 80.

Born in Clearfield, PA, to William Geppert and Mary Schrot, he lived in Rockaway, NJ for 30 years before moving to Mendham in 1992.

John received his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University in 1969 and his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1979.

He was the founder and President of Biomedical Products, Inc. which he began in 1988. He also began a new company, Health Mark Diagnostics in 1996.

During his early career he served as a sales executive for Becton Dickinson and Allied Chemical before founding his own firm.

He was a Grand Knight and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6462 in Mendham and served as Past Grand Knight at Council 514 in Dover, NJ. He was also a member of the Mendham Pastime Club.

John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Greenland; three sons: John G. Geppert, Jr. (Karen) of Mendham, Mark Geppert (Maureen) of Dover, NH and Chris Geppert of Tobyhanna, PA; five brothers: Dr. William Geppert of DE, Charles Geppert of FL, Dennis, Joseph, and Michael Geppert of PA, two sisters: Mary Kay Russell of OH and Ann Marie Lansbury of FL. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

John loved taking his wife to special places around the world, watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and college football and basketball.

Visitation will be held on Friday Jan. 13, 2017 from 4-7pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham.

Funeral Liturgy is Saturday 10am at St. Joseph Church, Mendham.

Interment at Hilltop Cemetery, Mendham.
