John L. Petrini

John L. Petrini, 76, Punxsutawney, died Wednesday June 7, 2017, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.

He was born June 20, 1940, in Hollywood, PA, a son of the late Matthew B. and Anna (Banks) Petrini.

On June 13, 1970, he married Margaret M. (Farcus) Petrini, who survives.

John was the owner and operator of Petrini Bait & Tackle from 1983-2016. He also was a bus and truck driver and a dragline operator on surface mines.

He was a former member of The Walston Club and the Eagles.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cars, motorcycles, and spending time with his grandkids.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include four sons, Paul Agnello and wife Clare of Rossiter, Randy Petrini and Angie Geer of Punxsutawney, John Petrini and wife Rose of Weedville, PA, and Don Petrini and wife Teresa of Penfield; three grandchildren, Derek Agnello, Nikki Adams, and Peyton Petrini; four great grandchildren, Talon and Raya Adams and Myles and Kennedy Agnello; and four brothers, Matthew Petrini and wife Ann of Ashville, PA, Charles B. Petrini and wife Norma of Gilbert, AZ, Fred Petrini and wife Elaine of Erie, PA, and Robert Petrini and wife Dorothy of Mesa, AZ.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2017, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017, at the funeral home with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of John, to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1 Station St., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
