Johnstown Man Arrested in Brookville for Receiving Stolen Property

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – According to Brookville Borough Police, around 12:00 p.m. on February 5, a Johnstown man was arrested at 173 Allegheny Blvd. in Brookville for receiving stolen property and related charges.

Police say on February 1, they were given a lost and found New York license plate, and through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the license plate was involved with a theft of a $10,000.00 trailer and numerous telephone poles, occurring in Bath, New York.

Brookville Police located the stolen trailer and the perpetrator, 41-year-old Patrick C. Grove of Johnstown.

Grove has been charged with receiving stolen property, tampering with identification, and altering or illegally obtaining property.

He is currently in the Jefferson County Jail.

The investigation is continuing in Bath, New York.
