Joseph A. Brosky age 88 (Formerly of Pavick Lane Brockway, Pa.) died on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway.
Born on March 15, 1928 in Clymer, Pa. he was the son of the late Frank and Josephine Novasat Brosky.
Joe was a former employee at Keith Brothers in Brockway and had also been employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
He retired from the Maintenance Department at Brockway Glass.
He was married to Agnes Busatto and she preceded him in death on May 30, 1987.
On May 5, 1990 he was married to Nadine Seelye Anderson and she survives.
Joe was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway. He served as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Joe loved to play baseball and served as an American Legion Coach for many years. He was an avid Pirate, Steeler and Penguin fan.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by a son Mark Brosky of Brockway; 3 Step Sons: Kenneth (Debbie) Anderson; Edward (Jennifer) Anderson both of St. Marys, PA; Timothy J. Anderson of Weedville, Pa.; 2 Step Daughters: Grace Bollhorst of Coudersport; Cheryl (Timothy) Giles of Penfield and 1 brother George (Yvonne) Brosky of Brockway. He is also survived by a cousin Susanna Novasat DuBois; 15 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by 3 brothers Frank, Bobby and John Brosky and a sister Anne Carney.
Calling hours will be on Monday, November 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 22 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Tobias Church also in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
A Vigil Service will be held Monday evening at 8:45 PM also at the funeral home. Full Military Honors will be accorded Tuesday morning at the cemetery by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
