Joseph Francis O’Donnell

Joseph Francis O’Donnell, 87, of O’Donnell Road, Sigel, Pa., died Friday, October 17, 2014, at home.

Joseph was born on July 1, 1927, in Sigel, the son of John Patrick O’Donnell and Catherine Songer O’Donnell.

Mr. O’Donnell was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict.

He was a lifelong dairy farmer. Joseph was a member of St. Dominic’s Church in Sigel, Pa. and of the Knights of Columbus.

Joseph married Anna Marie Eisenman, who preceded him in death on October 25, 2008.

He is survived by a son, Paul F. O’Donnell and his wife, Michele, of Columbia, MD; and a daughter, Mary Jane O’Donnell of Sigel. Joseph is also survived by a brother, James O’Donnell and wife, Barbara, of Sigel; and three sisters, Mary Bandanza and husband, Santo, of Frederick, MD; Priscilla Allgeier and husband, William, of Brookville, and Rozella Weaver of Sigel. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Corey and Meghan O’Donnell.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Mark A. O’Donnell; three brothers, John, Robert, and Charles O’Donnell; and three sisters, Anna Aaron, Gertrude Dennis, and Helen Byer. He was also preceded in death by three infant brother and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the McKinney Funeral Home, located at 345 Main Street in Brookville.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville with the Rev. William Laska presiding.

Burial will be in the St. Dominic Cemetery in Sigel.
