Joseph M. Rosman, Age 81 of Van Ness St., Sykesville, PA died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his home.
Born on August 30, 1934 in Sykesville, PA, he was the son of the late Charles & Anna (Danch) Rosman.
On August 30, 1958 in Sykesville, PA, he married Barbara (Dubensky) Rosman. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2012.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Joe retired after 35 years of service from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in DuBois, and was a past member of the Sykesville American Legion Post 345. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, and most of all, he enjoyed sitting on his front porch bird watching.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Joe was preceded in death by 2 brothers (John & Wassil Rosman, Sr.) and 3 sisters (Mary Foxx, Sophie Wehring, & Helen Koromaus).
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. A Panikhida service will be held at 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be held onTuesday, October 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home with Fr. Mark Meholick officiating.
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Sykesville
