Joseph P. Romanick

Joseph P. Romanick, 88, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020.

He was born on March 17, 1932, in Blairsville, PA, the son of the late Peter and Mary Polka Romanick.

He was a military veteran, having served in the Navy and Army, and received the Purple Heart for injuries in combat. He worked as a conductor for Conrail until his retirement. Joseph enjoyed baseball, gardening, and hunting.

He is survived by his children, Patricia (Doug) Kunicki, Joe (Sue) Romanick ,and Gary (Susan) Romanick; and grandchildren, Michael (Samantha) Yale, Amanda Romanick, Joe (Lauren) Romanick and Evangelina Romanick as well as great grandchildren Ella Yale, Connor Yale, Lucas Yale, and Scout Romanick,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Eskra Romanick; his son, Ronald P. Romanick; brothers, Peter P. and Steven Romanick; and sister, Josephine Romanick.

A memorial service will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Joseph’s name to Friends’ Memorial Public Library in Kane.
