Joshua H. Snyder

Joshua H. Snyder, of Atlanta, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The son of Lou Uberti and the late Douglas Snyder, he was born in Brookville, PA, on March 3, 1980.

Josh was the grandson of Howard (Snitz) and S. Josephine Snyder of Ringgold, PA, and Joline Pifer and Russell & Dorothy Pifer, of Punxsutawney, PA.

After graduating from the Punxsutawney Area High School class of 1998, Josh enlisted in the United States Air Force, and served for 6 ½ years, acquiring the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal with 2 devices, Air Force Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

Josh was an internet marketer, avid investor, and serial entrepreneur.

As a young man, Josh enjoyed music, hunting, playing sports, and riding ATVs and motorcycles.

He loved the Lord.

It was during his years in the service that Josh discovered his love of travel, a pastime that he would continue to enjoy up until his death.

Josh lived life to the fullest, evident in his favorite activities, including the pursuit of wealth, fast cars, playing golf, and cheering on the Steelers and Tom Brady.

He enjoyed good food with friends and family, and he especially cherished his daily walks with Julia and Holly.

In addition to his mother, Lou Uberti, Josh is survived by his fiancé, Julia Ormond, and their daughter Holly Rae Snyder, of Atlanta, GA; his sister Michelle Burkett and her husband Mark; along with his nephews, Colin & Ryan Burkett, of Palmerton, PA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Doug Snyder; his stepfather, Mike Uberti; and his grandparents.

Interment will be at 9am on September 1st in the GA National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia following a Military Honor Guard Ceremony.

A memorial celebration is being planned in Punxsutawney, PA at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Josh’s name to Wounded Warrior Project and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
