Judith Ann Harriger

Judith Ann Harriger, 63, of Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born June 26, 1952, in Englewood, NJ, a daughter of Julia A. (Delongis) and Carlo Conti.

On April 6, 1991, she married William L. Harriger, who survives.

She was Catholic by Faith.

She received a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Francis College.

She worked as a Security Analyst for the Internal Revenue Service.

She enjoyed socializing, going to dinner, watching movies, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include two close cousins, Karen Doherty of California and Denis Kenny of New Jersey; a step-daughter Tammy Heckendorn of Punxsutawney; a brother-in-law Bradley Harriger and wife Alka of IN; a sister-in-law Karen Markovich and husband Jerry of Pittsburgh; a mother-in-law Genevieve Harriger of Punxsutawney; two nieces, Jenna Markovich and Amber Harriger; and three nephews, Jeff Markovich and Josh and Logan Harriger; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2016, at the Deeley Funeral Home, 33 Hillcrest Drive, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2016, at Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be in Oliveburg Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Harriger, to Forbes Hospice at West Penn Hospital, Allegheny Health Network, Office of Fund Development, 4818 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
