Judith Ann “Judy” Muccigrosso

1670720_profile_pic[1]Judith Ann “Judy” Muccigrosso, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday at Michaud Nursing Home.

She was born and raised in Westvale, Pennsylvania. Following her graduation from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, she began her career teaching third grade in Jamestown, NY.

She spent many years at home raising her two children, and went on to work for Home Aides of Central NY. She was a voracious reader and could often be found searching the stacks of the Liverpool Library, or more recently Barnes and Noble. She loved hiking and being out in nature, especially the Adirondacks and Beaver Lake. She found great joy in spending time with her family, grandchildren, and pets. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 years, Donald, and parents Ida Mae and Clarence Rogers.

She is survived by her children, Diahn (Paul) Maestri of Liverpool, and son, Jack (Alanna) Muccigrosso of Belmont, Massachusetts; grandchildren Brian, Evan, Jonah, and Eva; a sister-in-law; five nieces, and three nephews.

Contributions in Judy’s memory may be made to the American Red Cross of CNY, 344 West Genesee St. Syracuse, NY 13202, or Humane CNY, 4915 ½ W. Taft Rd. Liverpool, NY 13088.

Judy’s family would like to thank all those that provided such kind and compassionate care while she resided at park terrace and Michaud Nursing Home.
