Judy I. Stahlman, 63 of Punxsutawney, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Miss Stahlman was born May 30, 1951 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Albert and June (Pope) Stahlman. Judy was a professor at Cleveland State University for 28 years.
She earned her Bachelors Degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, her Masters Degree at Slippery Rock University and her Doctorate at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
She loved music, theater, art, photography, shopping and most of all spending time and traveling with her family.
She is survived by her sister; Carol Noerr and husband Harry of Punxsutawney, one niece; Lori Ebel and husband John of Punxsutawney, one nephew;Scott Noerr and wife Heidi of Chardon, Ohio, one nephew in law; Danny Rivera of Martinsburg, W.Va, great nieces and nephews; Hanna and Jacob Ebel, Kayla, Emily and Tyler Noerr, Claire and Lucy Rivera.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a niece Lisa (Noerr)Rivera.
Friends will be received from 2-7 pm Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
