Junior Achievement Run/Walk Event Set for April 27

HAWTHORN, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion and Jefferson Counties Junior Achievement boards are hosting a Junior Achievement Run/Walk Event.

This event consists of a 5K run and a 2 mile family/individual walk to support Clarion and Jefferson County Junior Achievement programs in our local schools. It is for adults, children, and families.

There will be activities for children, such as spin art and face painting.

The race will begin and end at the Hawthorn Soccer field (Pottery Field), just off of Route 28 and Walker Flat Road.

The event will open with registration at 9:00 a.m. with the race and walk starting at 10:00 a.m.

A short awards ceremony to be held after the 5K race. The event will conclude around 12:00 p.m.

Discount registration is available until April 5th. Families registering together will receive a discounted rate. T-shirts will be available for the first 50 registrants. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female competitors.

Junior Achievement of Clarion County is a non-profit organization that strives to give youths a promising future through their goal to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
