After deliberating for over 12 hours Monday and Tuesday at the Clarion County Courthouse, the jury found Thomas Edward Radecki, 70, of Clarion, guilty on charges, as follows:
- Administer Etc Of Controlled Substance By Practitioner, Felony (9 counts)
- Conspiracy – Administer Etc Of Controlled Substance By Practitioner, Felony
- Dealing In Proceeds – Unlawful Activity/Intent To Promote, Felony 1
- Corrupt Organizations – Employee, Felony 1
Radecki faced more than two dozen felony counts of having inappropriate sexual relationships with female patients and distributing controlled substances.
In 2011 and 2012, Radecki was investigated by a number of law enforcement agencies in reference to his prescribing, dispensing, and billing practices while operating four offices, including Suboxone maintenance programs in Clarion, Seneca, DuBois, and Kane.
Suboxone is used to treat addiction to Heroin and other Opiates such as Morphine.
Radecki’s offices were closed in June 2012 after the State Attorney General’s office investigated Radecki’s practices.
He was represented by John Patrick Troese of Clarion, Pa.
The Pa. Attorney General’s office prosecuted the case.
