Justin James Fryer

Justin James Fryer, 43, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday, January 01, 2022, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born in Punxsutawney on March 6, 1978, a son of William Wendell Fryer and Sharon Jean (Smith) Fryer. His parents survive and reside in Punxsutawney.

Justin was a 1996 graduate of Jeff Tech.

He was the former Bell Township Supervisor.

He was a devoted and proud father who enjoyed spending time with his son, Darren.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and wildlife.

He was his happiest when he was outside and shooting his bow.

He was passionate about archery and loved to hunt during the archery season as well as competitively.

He enjoyed meeting new people at archery shoots and making new friends who also shared his love of the sport.

He had an amazing sense of humor, and you could always count on him to make you laugh.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Darren James Fryer of Punxsutawney and one daughter, Madison Marie Ogden of Clearfield; one brother, William R. Fryer and wife Deborah of Kaska, PA; and one sister, Leslie Ann Archibald and husband David of Punxsutawney.

He is also survived by two nephew, William A. Fryer and Brandon M. Fryer.

He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents as well as several aunts and uncles.

There will be no visitation.

A private memorial service will be held for the family.
