Karen M. Haag

Karen M. Haag, 73, Luthersburg, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Penn Highlands Brookville.

Born August 13, 1948, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Bryce and Yvonne (Kriner) Hartzfeld.

On October 13, 1973, she married Andrew P. Haag at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Luthersburg. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2021.

Karen graduated from the DuBois Area High School.

She was employed by First Commonwealth Bank (Deposit Bank) and Clepper Bus Services. Karen loved square dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Luke’s UCC.

Karen is survived by two children, Andrew “Andy” (Cindy) Haag II, Luthersburg, and Robin (Bill) Brilla, Kylertown; seven grandchildren, Erin Nauman, Kristin Rutledge, Matthew Wachob, and Braden, Devin, Griffin, and Kamden Haag, and two sisters, Maxine Cramer and Evelyn Cowan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Karen was preceded in death by a daughter, Gretchen Wachob, and a sister, Thelma Zimmerman.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service.

A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

Memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor’s choice.
