Katelyn Rosanne Mohney

Katelyn Rosanne Mohney, 26, of Brookville, Pa., died Sunday, January 4, 2015 in Brookville.

Born October 24, 1988 in DuBois, Katelyn was the daughter of Joe Mohney and Stephanie Davis of Brookville, Pa.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from Clarion University.

Katelyn had a true passion for the arts, which she shared everyday with those she loved.

Her family will always remember her love for music, literature, and art.

Katelyn was always kind and generous to anyone whose path she crossed.

She is survived by her parents; one brother, Adam J. Mohney, of Brookville; one sister, Riley Davis of Brookville; her maternal grandfather, J. Stephen Reinsel (Deborah) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; her maternal grandmother, Judith Juett (Gregg) of Clearwater, Fla.; and her paternal grandmother, Louise Mahoney, of Brookville, Pa. Katelyn is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Katelyn was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, John W. Mohney, and her brother, Samuel A. Mohney.

Friends will be received Wednesday, January 7 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, Pa. 15825.

Services will be held Thursday, January 8 at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Brookville, Pa. with Rev. Timothy McConville and Rev. Sharon Schwab officiating.

Interment will be at Butler Cemetery in Pinecreek Township, Jefferson County.

Memorials may be made in Katelyn’s honor to a charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
