Kathi D. States, 60, Punxsutawney, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born March 22, 1954, in Punxsutawney, the daughter of the late Parnell G. and Iona G. (Hawk) Reed.
On June 24, 1972, she married David M. States, who survives.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Punxsutawney.
She was a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and enjoyed camping and cooking.
In addition to her husband, Kathi is survived by a daughter, Brandy States of Mayport; a granddaughter, Caitlin Hill; two brothers, Harold “Tink” Reed and wife Patricia of Brookville and Danny Reed and wife Barb of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Reed, and a grandson, Grant Hill.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at the Grace United Methodist Church of Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at the church with the Reverend Doug Dyson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Grace United Methodist Church or to the Hahne Cancer Center.
