Kathleen Ann Wayne, age 72, a resident at Toby Terrace in Brockway, PA; died on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway.
Born on August 11, 1943 in Bridgeport, Michigan; she was the daughter of the late Donald and Florence Rohr Dean.
Retired, she had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 20 years. Kathleen enjoyed attending the Lighthouse Community Church in Brockway, and taking part in all the many ministries Rev. Baxter and the church provide. Over the years she’s crocheted many, many pairs of mittens that she donated to the community and anyone she felt was in need. One of her favorite things to do was crochet the patriotic blanket that was a raffled off every 4th of July at the Brockway Old Fashioned 4th Celebration, and donating all proceeds from the raffle back to Mengle Memorial Library.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Becky (Mike) Delio of Falls Creek and Kim Wayne and her husband Mel Ginther of Brockway; 2 sons: Donald (Lei) Wayne of Missouri and Kevin (Pam) Wayne of Florida; 1 sister: Arlene Labeau and her partner John Gielzyk of Michigan; 5 brothers: Tom (Julie) Dean; Ed (Cathy) Dean; Jim (Faye) Dean and Bob (Kathy) Dean; Kenneth “Butch” (June “Bug”) Dean all of Michigan; 7 grandchildren: Brandy, Jessi, Alexandria, Mallery, Nick, Hallee and Donalei; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by an Honorary Daughter Jenny Yale of Arizona.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a sister Millie Smith and a great granddaughter Adrianna Jade Clontz.
A Memorial Service will be announced at Toby Terrace at a later date.
