Kenneth C. Long

Kenneth C. Long, 80 of Rossiter (Johnsonburg), passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Long was born July 28, 1935 in Johnsonburg, a son of the late John W. and Gloria (Spencer) Long.

He is survived by his loving wife Arlene J. “Cookie” Long of Rossiter.

Ken was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the Rossiter American Legion, and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and reading western novels.
In addition to his wife Arlene, he is survived by three sons; Kenneth E. Long and wife Judith and Johnathan C. Long all of Johnsonburg, Michael P. Long and wife Susan of Punxsutawney. One stepson; Glenn Scott, Jr. and wife Angie of Rossiter and one daughter; Debbie Snyder and husband Tom of Ringgold. One sister; Freda Hopkins of Virginia, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends will be received from Noon until 2 pm Saturday, March 26, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm with Rev. Stephen Dunn officiating.

Interment will follow at Devers Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Rossiter American Legion.
